My friends mom has recently let me borrow her workout videos that she had used until she bought new ones. I have not yet used them, but am very excited to start. One is called the "Crunchless Ab System" and my memory is not recalling the name of the other. I have always loved working out, but the two videos sound intense! With the combination of those I will be continuing my DDR workout sessions. DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution for those of you who don't know the shorter name for the sweet game. It's never been about losing weight but toning my body, and I have had physical issues with exercising.
I was diagnosed 2 years ago with a rotated pelvic bone. When to much pressure, usually in a hard workout, I can easily throw my hip-flexor muscles into seizure like convulsions. When this occurs my muscles contract, unabling me to stand straight up and instead looking like a hunchback. I can not walk or move normally until about 3 chiropractor appointments later. It's been rough especially when you want to excerise but always have to be concious about doing it safely.
For all you bloggers out there, any other ideas on ways to exercise various muscles without using a treadmill or running? Input is appreciated :)

Sex Abductions
Updated to the MSNBC website today was a heart wrenching story about a sex slave and trade. A young girl at the age of 16, named Shauna, was a normal teenager hanging out with friends. One of her friends, a classmate, invited her to stay over at her house one evening and Shauna did everything she could to talk her mom into letting her stay. Shauna's mom was very skeptical about allowing her to stay at her friends house, but eventually gave in. Shauna went to her friends house with her friends "dad" and expected to have a normal sleepover. Shauna became thirsty and asked for a glass of water, an innocent request that no one would have ever thought would start a sex slave scandel.
When Shauna awoke from a drug enduced blackout, groggy and weak, it came to her realization that she was being raped. For 3 days Shauna endured beatings, rape, and forced drug use.
A search was in place, but it was her 14 year old brother that saw her in the back of a vehicle where the abductors stopped for gas. She was found beaten, bruised, bloody, and in aweful shape. Shauna was nearly dead. A delivery was to be made to a man in Texas, and Shauna was the package. An arrangement had been made for the sale of Shauna for $300,000.
If the mom would have stuck with her gut from her suspicions of something strange, this may not have happened. The end of the article stated that kids need to listen to their parents and know that their decisions and choices are in our best interest.
This article really caught my attention because I am very interested in cases such as these. The horrid lives that people live and the extent that they will go to recieve their pleasure, needs to be stopped. The moral of the story is also a good point to be made. We may think that parents are just trying to spoil our fun, but they see warning signs. Let them guide you to smart decisions.

Writing Process
Each person has a different way to successfully write a paper and abnormal rituals that they go about in the process. They can either sit in complete silence, have their music blaring, or be wearing comfortable clothes. All types of settings and techniques can be use and the way I write papers, could be considered different or common, it just depends. The first business that I take care of is lighting my pumpkin spice candle. The scent of this candle gives off this calming and relaxing aroma that puts me at ease and relieves stress of writing a paper. After my candle is lit, I usually have to search my room to find this pillow that I always have to sit on because it’s cushy and comfortable. This helps my ischial tuberosities (my butt bones) sit in less pain. Once I have found my pillow, I place it on my purple swivel chair and take a seat in front my laptop. With a fan going in the background for white noise and all the lamps in my room lit – they are not on forever, so don’t worry, I don’t run up the electric bill – I am at a relaxed state and can begin my paper.
I will normally sit at my laptop for about 20 minutes typing away and let all my thoughts swell over the keyboard. This is what I call my prewriting phase. Sitting at my laptop for hours at a time is not my kind of fun so I’ll get up and get a snack, attend to my laundry, or clean my room after the 20 minutes is over. Then I will head back to my computer and begin the actual draft.
Again, after my brain is fried – usually about 20 minutes later – I will attend to cleaning my room or doing my laundry. Very stressful days are ones when I start to organize my closet and days where I have a few papers to write, my room appears spotless because I clean so much. I think these are reasons why my parents like me going to school. These moments give me time to think of new ideas for my paper and not feel like it's being forced out of me.
Eventually my paper is finished, my room is clean, most of my chores are done, and my room smells of pumpkin heaven. The nice thing about my writing process is the ability to get tasks done in a timely manner. Most of the time I don't have much to do once my paper is finished, and I can sit and physically relax. It's a process that has worked very well for me, and the time seems to go by much quickly.
